Ground Figure is an architectural design practice working in England and Wales. Founded in 2010 by Lee, Ground Figure provides a turn-key service from conception to completion for small residential projects.

We enjoy our work and invest great energy into delivering projects which are individually designed for our clients. We create within a very informal and relaxed environment for the client.
Design
Projects begin with a strong design concept and responds closely to the local setting and the existing building. We believe that good architecture is the thoughtful making of spaces where light, circulation and composition of function all combine to create a unique building. We closely tailor the architecture to our clients' requirements ensuring the home functions not only as a beautiful object but also as a pragmatic and functioning backdrop to the client's every day routine.
We understand that a building project requires a seamless transition from drawings to site and understanding the importance of aligned thinking between the client and the contractor.
Often subtle or fundamental architectural aspects of a scheme are lost or overlooked, but at Ground Figure we remove these issues. We are solely responsible for the design throughout the project. As such, we enjoy the control on site, the ease of transferring information from the drawing office to site and the ability to work closely with our clients. We recognise this provides us, and the client, with the best solution for designing and building architecturally exciting dwellings.
Process
Across the complete process we pride ourselves on hard work and providing an excellent, friendly service to our clients. From start to finish, you will have a constant point of contact, typically one or both of the directors. With over 35 years of joint experience within the building industry both directors can navigate and manage any problem to a satisfactory result, ensuring the client receives the very best advice and service. Meeting clients regularly, across each stage, is paramount to the success of the scheme. Both the directors and staff are often available until late into the evening and weekends as we recognise a high quality service does not finish at 5pm. We understand that the client can often only concentrate on the project within their own spare time, which can be limited or at obscure hours. Most of our repeat custom is due to the hard working service we provide, ensuring our clients receive the highest quality of design and build.
